Refectory table “Kitzbühel is handcrafted in our workshop from reclaimed European old oak. The outer frame of the table top is made of 7cm thick solid wooden beams. The inside is made of old wooden planks wich are fixed to a furniture board.
The Kitzbühel model takes it’s inspiration from the original antique refectory tables. This is visible in the cross-table legs underneath the table top, wich are connected by a crossbeam. This makes the table extra sturdy and serves as a comfortable place to put your feet.
Additionaly, the Kitzbühle is ideal for everydat use. The length, width and height are all bespoke, and completely up to your specifications. This way dining-room chairs and benches will fit easily with this table. Thanks to our special lacquer treatment food and drink spillage can be easily cleaned by using a moist cloth.
The size of the example table on the pictures is: L275cm, W100cm.
To give the table an authentic rural look, it is made from reclaimed old oak.
This wood has served as cladding in central European barns for years. There, rain and sun have given it a beautiful patina.
Using old oak in a new table gives this beautiful material a new life. This reduces the use of new wood, which helps preserve nature and reduce our carbon footprint.
