Small black dining table, restored and crafted using the old Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique. In this woodworking technique, the wood is burnt shut, making it very sturdy and low-maintenance (does not stain clothes etc.).
The table itself is antique and comes from the former Dutch East Indies (± 1890), where it was made of native hardwood. Hardwood from this region is known for its longevity.
The table top has been treated against stains.
